Mayo to celebrate its cultural wealth on Friday September 23

On September 23, 25 venues across county Mayo will offer access to an amazing array of free late night culture for all the family and people can now see the full programme at www.mayococo.ie

With almost 70 free events taking place throughout the county and catering for all ages, there is definitely something for everyone to enjoy on Culture Night. This is the biggest Culture Night to date, with 30 different regions through the country getting involved, and it is expected that more than half a million people nationwide will explore and engage with culture on September 23.

Mayo venues have a wonderfully diverse programme, reflecting the wealth of cultural activity the county has to offer. Opening times range from 3.30pm until the early hours of the morning. Contact individual venues about their opening hours on the evening.

Culture Night is a national initiative co-ordinated by Temple Bar Cultural Trust and supported by the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht in partnership with Mayo County Council. Midwest Radio is the media sponsor of the event.

All venues have been extremely proactive in helping realise this wonderful programme of events, so make the most of this opportunity to experience the richness of cultural activity Mayo has to offer. Bring a friend or a neighbour, bring the family, or just bring yourself along to the venue in your locality. You never know what you might discover. www.culturenight.ie
