Westport Chamber of Commerce will be promoting Westport Walks Wednesday on Wednesday 21, and a number of shops around town will have special offers for those who leave their car at home. And as always – SuperValu, Centra, and Carrowbeg Stores all offer free home delivery so you can even do your shopping without your car. Westport Town Council has set up a car sharing group for the people of Westport on the new national government website carsharing.ie Other events taking place during the week include the Wacky Helmet Schools Competition and Westport’s first Wacky Travel Parade. Everyone is invited to put their gladrags on and get their funky travel ready for the Wacky Travel parade on Friday September 23 from 12.30pm to 1.30pm on the South Mall. The winners of the Wacky Helmet competition will be announced at the Wacky Travel Parade.
