Claremorris Community Radio to take part in broadcast marathon

Claremorris Community Radio volunteers will take part in a fund-raising broadcasting marathon to raise some much needed funds for the station. The station, which is owned and managed by the local community in and around Claremorris, will broadcast live for 48-hours continuously, starting today (Friday August 26 ).

Listeners can not only tune into the event locally on 94.6fm but listeners around the world can also tune in online via the station’s website www.claremorriscommunityradio.ie On air since 2006, Claremorris Community Radio is a not-for-profit organisation which is owned and managed by the local community and is one of 23 fully-licensed community stations around Ireland. The station aims to promote community development in all its aspects and the staff and volunteers of the station work hard to develop programmes and training that encourage disadvantaged groups to express their beliefs, values, and needs for a better understanding within the community.
