Flynn appointed to Oireachtas Education Committee

Mayo Fianna Fáil TD Beverley Flynn has been appointed to the Oireachtas Committee on Education and Science.

The committee was established in November 1997 and identifies key areas for examination among the policies of the Department of Education and Science.

It is the second Oireachtas Committee that Deputy Flynn has been appointed to this term. She is also a member of the Oireachtas sub-Committee on Ireland’s future in the EU.

Dep Flynn has previously been a member of the Public Accounts Committee and the Joint Committee on Justice, Equality and Women’s Rights.

Speaking about her new role Dep Flynn said: “It is a great honour to be appointed to this very prestigious committee. I hope I will be able to make a strong contribution to helping progress this committee’s work.”
