Mayo hair stylist named Irish Hairdresser of the Year 2011

Mayo hair stylist Louise Jordan, from Ballina, was named as the IHF Irish Hairdresser of the Year 2011 at the National Hairdressing Championships and OMC European Championships in hair and beauty. Louise competed in such categories as fantasy, day style and full fashion and was awarded a Gold OMC medal in the Senior Day Style category and Senior Trend Cut category. She works in MOHH Salon in Galway.

Also from Ballina, Martha Galvin-Baird was awarded fourth place in the Senior Bridal category. Another stylist to win an award was Louise Connor, from Allure Hair Salon, who came second in the Junior Stylist Award.

Hosted by the Irish Hairdressers Federation, the National Hairdressing Championships is the much anticipated annual event where hair stylists from Ireland come to showcase their creativity and skill and compete for the prestigious Irish Hairdresser of the Year Award.

The National Hairdressing Championships took place in the RDS, Dublin alongside the OMC European Championships, a two-day hair and beauty championships that attracted 400 of the world’s top stylists from 24 countries to compete for the prestigious OMC trophies

The world’s most talented and imaginative players in the hair and beauty industry from countries including Italy, Ireland, Austria, the USA, France, Norway, Greece, Denmark, Montenegro and Germany competed for the coveted OMC cups while Irish hair stylists battled it out for Irish Hairdresser of the Year.
