Small Firms Association to visit Castlebar

A positive spin on the small business landscape is the central focus of Network Mayo’s February event taking place on February 21 in the Harlequin Hotel.

Supporting the group’s 2011 theme ‘Inspiring Innovation’, Network Mayo will host acting director of the Small Firms Association Avine McNally for an interactive evening which will feature up-to-the minute information and insight for small businesses.

An MA graduate of the IPA, Avine has worked for the SFA for the past 13 years and specialises in the areas of employment legislation and SME policy. Ms McNally plans to “outline the current sentiment among small business; some challenges they face and steps which small firms are taking to remain agile and grow”.

The SFA exclusively represents small business and is Ireland’s largest small business organisation with over 7,500 members. “The SFA are synonymous with small business in Ireland – given the surge in small business development and growth in the west, I think it’s extremely important that we provide access and visibility to organisations like the SFA through our group,” said Network Mayo president Olwen Dawe. “Avine will be providing clear and concise insight, with a positive outlook, which is key for business owners now.”

The SFA event will take place on February 21 at 7.30pm in the Harlequin Hotel, Castlebar. It is open to the public. Places can be booked in advance via EventBrite - sfanetworkmayo.eventbrite.com/, by email [email protected] or phone 087 799 7772.
