Early bird train remains on draft timetable

The early bird train from Westport to Dublin remains part of Iarnród Éireann’s draft timetable for the year.

The 05.15am service was implemented in 2009 following Westport town councillors’ call for the early service to be commenced, and it looks like the train, which gets to Dublin before 9am, will form part of this year’s timetable.

This draft timetable was released by Iarnród Éireann as part of a public consultation process on revised rail services in Ireland. However the draft timetable from Westport shows that the times remain the same both from and to Westport.
