The Cathaoirleach of Westport Town Council, Councillor Tereasa McGuire, has wished everyone in Westport “a happy and safe Christmas”.
At the town council meeting Cllr McGuire urged people to shop local and to look after the less able in the community.
Cllr Martin Keane also appealed for people to support the annual fuel appeal campaign.
