Los Langeros and Fearghal McKee team up for Westport gig

To promote the release of their latest album, This is Normal, Los Langeros join forces with Whipping Boy front man Fearghal McKee with his new band for a series of dates across Ireland, stopping off in Geraghty’s, Westport, on October 9. Los Langeros are a demented concoction of country-tinged goat-punk rockabilly. With three albums already behind them and diversity of sound reflecting their disparate influences from Hank Williams to Nomeansno and Tom Waits.

McKee’s band, which will also feature Whipping Boy drummer Colm Hassett, will play some Whipping Boy classics, as well as new material. Described as the vocal and spiritual link between Ian Curtis and Van Morrison, McKee’s charismatic performances quickly grabbed the attention of the press when Whipping Boy first appeared.
