Liam Fennelly next up for Legends Tour Summer Series at Croke Park

As Kilkenny seek to win their fifth All-Ireland title in-a-row former captain, Liam Fennelly, will host a one-off GAA Museum Legends Tour on the eve of the Hurling Final this Saturday, September 4 at 12pm. Fennelly will host a special behind-the-scenes tour of Croke Park, focusing on his famous playing career with ‘The Cats’.

Fennelly is one of Kilkenny’s all-time greats and during his playing career with the county he amassed an impressive tally of medals and awards, which includes three All-Ireland titles, six Leinster titles and four All-star awards. The legendary forward is also the only captain in the history of the GAA to lift both the original and new Liam MacCarthy Cups.

The GAA Museum also offers something for Tipperary fans on the eve of the All-Ireland Final as Tipperary hurling legend, Nicky English, will guide another Legends Tour earlier that same day. The Legends Tour Series, which started in 2008, has been a huge success at the GAA Museum, with many fans flocking to the stadium to get a unique ‘behind-the-scenes’ tour from their hurling and Gaelic football heroes.

These special tours provide GAA fans with an unforgettable opportunity to hear memories and anecdotes from the players and managers who have lit up Croke Park on so many occasions.

All tours include a trip to the newly refurbished GAA Museum. The Museum is home to exclusive exhibits, such as the original Sam Maguire and Liam MacCarthy cups.
