The ISPCC Childline service is urgently seeking volunteers for its service in Mayo.
Currently Childline is only able to answer 63 per cent of the calls it receives. The service hopes, with the help of the people in Mayo, to see Childline grow to have the ability to listen to all children who contact it.
Childline is a volunteer led service, with fully trained and Garda vetted Mayo people at the front line. Childline volunteers come from a range of background, ages, and experience. If you would be interested in volunteering with the service, contact the ISPCC on 094 902 5254. Members of the public are reminded that they do not need to have formal experience or training but an understanding of children is essential.
