Is hypnosis for you?

James Barrett from the largest hypnotherapy group in Ireland, Irish Hypnosis, explains to Mayo Advertiser readers about hypnosis and how it works.

Can everybody be hypnotised? Barrett said that the first and most important factor for people doing hypnosis is that they want to change and they want to be hypnotised — when that happens it is very much a success. The level of success depends on a range of factors, from the environment where one is hypnotised, to the hypnotist, to the degree of desire the client has to succeed.

What is the most popular programme? Weight loss and quit smoking are historically the most common area people ask about.

Are there any side effects? No, hypnosis is the most natural way to change your mindset in relation to a wide variety of areas.

What is a good sign of a hypnotist? “Someone who has been referred by a friend, or someone who operates from a fixed clinic are very good indicators, however results are what this is all about so choose carefully,” Barrett said.

James Barrett is about to open another clinic in Westport Leisure Complex in the coming weeks. Lowcall 1890 252567 and visit www.irishhypnosis.com for more information on his clinics.
