Saturday Club is back

The Saturday Club for children aged from eight to 13 offers them a chance to learn about Ireland in the past (1850 – 1950 ) through characters and costumes. Create your own story and then design, construct and perform a shadow puppet show with artist Carmel Balfe. The club will run on Saturdays through November

Straw, hay, and rushes exhibition

You can imagine a mat made from straw. How about sleeping on a straw mattress, horse riding using a saddle made from rushes, making a rain coat from a wheat sheaf or insulating your home with plaited straw draught excluders? This exhibition includes more than 100 objects made from these natural materials, some of which you can experience for yourself. This exhibition continues until spring 2010.

Wood Sculpture: 40 Years A-Growing

This temporary outdoor exhibition of wood sculpture by renowned craftsman Liam O’Neill features 10 unique works selected to complement the stunning grounds of Turlough Park. The exhibition has been created to mark Liam O’Neill’s work as a craftsman over the past 40 years. This exhibition continues until November 2009.
