A meeting of the Mayo COPD Support Group will be held in the Traveller’s Friend Hotel, Castlebar, at 4pm on Thursday July 30.
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is a progressive disease that makes it difficult to breathe. It is a catch-all term for two common and very serious conditions, chronic bronchitis and emphysema, which usually get progressively worse over time.
The meeting at the Travellers Friend Hotel, Castlebar, will provide an ideal opportunity for people with COPD and their families to discuss ways of making people more aware of COPD, and how to cope with this debilitating disease. The meeting will be open to anyone who has COPD and will be informal, so why not come along for a cup of tea and a chat.
