Deputy Michael Ring stated: "CLÁR (Ceantair Laga Árd-Riachtanais ) is a targeted investment programme for rural areas that aims to provide funding for small infrastructural projects in rural areas that have experienced significant levels of de-population. This targeted investment can reap huge rewards for communities"

Deputy Alan Dillon said: "I am very pleased that these very worthwhile projects in Mayo have been funded under the CLÁR Measure 1 programme which supports the development of facilities and amenities within rural areas.

"The CLÁR Programme in Mayo has been very beneficial and demonstrates that investment in rural communities can make a big difference to improving the quality of life for the people who live in these communities."

Senator Lisa Chambers added: "These projects are hugely important to our local communities. It is important that as a Government we continue to invest in Rural Ireland in as many ways as possible, the Clár program is a fantastic way that we can continue to do this."
