Mescan Brewery invited to select Fidelity Festival

Mayo based Mescan Brewery has been selected as one of only eight Irish beers invited to take part in the prestigious Fidelity Beer Festival taking place at the Mansion House Dublin on July 15 to 16.

This unusual festival showcases top international craft beers alongside the best Irish brews. Many of the overseas beers are entirely new to the Irish market. As with previous Fidelity Festivals, the event is entirely booked out.

"This is a real honour for Mescan and we couldn’t be more pleased", said Cillian O'Móráin of Mescan Brewery, "It gives us the opportunity to showcase our beers alongside the best in the world at a select festival. We’re looking forward to both the experience and the challenge."

Based in Kilsallagh, Westport, Mescan Brewery specialises in high quality Belgian-style beers matured for months (sometimes years ) before they reach perfection. They are vegan friendly and 100% natural.

The artisan brewery is named after Mescan, a monk who was St. Patrick’s personal brewer. Mescan beers are a particularly good match for drinking while dining and the new trend of pairing beers with food is seeing an upturn in business with restaurants.

Mescan recently reopened for tours after the pandemic enforced break. Tours run every Friday afternoon during the summer and on occasional Saturdays. Booking is through the website www.mescanbrewery.com Extended private tours for groups of 10 and over are also available on request.
