Irish Water and Mayo County Council working to restore water to Ballina customers affected by burst watermain

Irish Water and Mayo County Council are carrying out repairs to a burst watermain on Emmet Street, Ballina to restore water supply to approximately 300 properties in Emmet Street, Bridge Street, Pearse Street, Bachelor’s Walk, Arbuckle Row, Castlecourt, Beleek Lodge, Dillon Terrace, Nally Street, Humbert Street, Belleekand the surrounding areas. Repairs are expected to be completed by 4pm today and it may take two to three hours after this to restore normal supply to all customers affected by the burst.

Irish Water continues to work at this time with our Local Authority partners, contractors and others to safeguard the health and well-being of both staff and the public and to ensure the continuity of critical drinking water and wastewater services. Irish Water would like to remind people to follow the HSE COVID-19 advice and ensure frequent handwashing.
