Mayo Leisure Point and Mayo Movie World reopen their doors

Mayo Leisure Point reopened its doors again yesterday Thursday, July 9, for bowling and the Movie Bowl Diner. Nokey's Adventureland and Q-2000 laser will reopen tomorrow, Saturday, July 11 at 11am.

Cora Mulroy from Mayo Leisure Point said: "It has been a long four months and we are so looking forward to welcoming you all back.

"However in order to comply with current government guidelines and ensure a safe environment for our customers and staff we have had to make some temporary changes to facilitate opening as safely as possible. We are operating a one-way entry by the cinema door.

There are a number of changes to the offerings at Mayo Leisure Point

(1 ) Pre-booking for bowling, Laser World and Nokey’s. Please don’t arrive, without a booking. Bookings can be made by phone (094 ) 90 25473, email [email protected] or Facebook messenger.

(2 ) Opening hours will remain the same Monday to Saturday from 10am to10pm, Sunday from 11am to 8pm.

(3 ) No Birthday parties until after July 20.

(4 ) Reduced bowling lanes available, with a limit of six people per lane.

(5 ) Contactless payment preferred, but cash also accepted.

(6 ) Sanitizers are located at entry and exit doors, and various places throughout the centre.

(7 ) Enhanced cleaning and disinfecting of all areas throughout the day, with a deep clean at the end of the day.

Mayo Movie World reopens today Friday, July 10 at 11am

Cora continued: "During the four months of closure we took the opportunity to do a deep clean on all the seats and carpets in every screen and also got the building defogged this week to ensure that all our valued customers can be entertained in a clean and safe environment.

"In order to comply with the government guidelines we have had to make some temporary changes ensuring the safety of all our customers and staff.

"To comply with the recommended social distancing our film schedule has been reduced which means that the number of daily screenings are limited.

"Advance bookings are advised for all shows on our www.mayomovieworld.ie Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the film starting. Sanitizers are located at entry and exit doors as well as at various places throughout the cinema and outside toilets.

"Enhanced cleaning and disinfecting of all screens following each show and a deep clean will be done every night and the screens will be defogged regularly.

"To help us offer you and your family a safe, clean and enjoyable visit, we ask for your co-operation. Please observe our Hygiene and Safety requirements while visiting us.

"Please ensure you and your family sanitize your hands on entry. Please observe social distance as best as is possible during your visit.

"If you, a member of your family or group are not feeling well, please don’t visit. Please be patient with our staff, this is new for us all, and any concerns you may have during your visit, please let us know.
