35 confirmed cases of Covid-19 being treated in Mayo University Hospital

Two cases being treated in critical care

There were 35 confirmed cases of Covid-19 being treated in Mayo University Hospital as of 8pm, last night Monday, April 27 an increase of one on the previous day.

Also there were 15 suspected cases of the virus being treated in the major hospital in the county. Two of the confirmed cases in Mayo University Hospital were being treated in critical care as of last night when the hospital had six critical care beds vacant as of 8pm last night and 35 general beds vacant.

The HSE also confirmed that there were 464 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the county as of midnight on Saturday, April 25 – 129 more than in Galway and 149 more than the combined confirmed cases in Sligo, Leitrim and Roscommon.
