Get Up and Get Active Week with Mayo GAA

This week is Active Home week so we want to see everyone up and moving.

Former Mayo footballer Andy Moran of The Movement Gym will be running an online PE class every day at 11.30am this week on The Movement YouTube channel to get all ages moving, while the Mayo GAA Coaching and Games teams will be creating online games & challenges to keep all ages active which will be shared on all the Mayo GAA social media channels

Speaking on the initiative Andy Moran said: “We in The Movement are delighted to partner with Mayo GAA to get as many people as we can active this week. The online PE classes are a great way to get children active while ensuring they stay within the current HSE & Government guidelines. Active Home Week is a great initiative for national school children and hopefully the classes will benefit those who take part in them.”

Cathaoirleach of Coiste Chontae Mhaigh Eo Liam Moffatt added: "The health and wellbeing of all our members particularly during this time is of paramount importance to us so this programme is a great way for young and old to get active from home.

"The online PE classes from Andy Moran along with great work of our coaching and games team will allow a broad spectrum of ages to take part. Now more than ever we need to look out for one and other so hopefully programmes like this will benefit not just the people of Mayo but all those who take part in various classes and challenges we will be posting online this week."

You can access all the PE classed on The Movement YouTube page here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXVBIJ0AifnJvAziCtQsWTA

All the games & challenges will be posted on all Mayo GAA social media channels.
