Fashion App to help Mayo independent retailers fight back

10 Mayo stores now signed up to BEZZU

Bezzu, a new free mobile app designed to support independent fashion retailers by connecting them with customers online, has launched and is available to download on Android and IOS devices for retailers and shoppers alike.

Bezzu enables all independent fashion and lifestyle retailers across Ireland, without any existing online presence or ecommerce function, to easily connect with and sell to customers online, at no cost to them. The new app has already seen 10 independent retailers from Mayo opting into the service.

Mayo-based retailers include: D Biggins, Main Street, Ballinrobe; Doherty for Men, Main Street, Castlebar; Foxford Woollen Mills, Foxford; Frock Mania, Castle Street, Castlebar; Gerry McGuire’s, O’Rahilly Street, Ballina; Kaleidoscope, Bridge Street, Westport and Liberties, The Quay, Westport.

Bezzu moved forward its intended Summer launch in an effort to help Irish retailers now facing an uncertain future due to the Coronavirus pandemic, to trade online while their physical stores are closed.

The highly personalised app offers fashion lovers a streamlined experience to explore, shop and share products from independent retailers in Ireland and, in time, globally. There are currently over 440 Irish retailers on Bezzu with more than 8,000 products available to purchase, with more being added to the platform daily.

Bezzu’s interactive map allows consumers to find local retailers, their exact address and opening hours. The shop-by-location feature will encourage users to visit stores close to them (when the Covid-19 restrictions are lifted ) helping to increase footfall, or if not in the vicinity, to purchase products from the store online instead. Either way, the app helps to raise the profile of smaller independent retailers, at absolutely no expense to their business.

Users can also avail of a virtual stylist to customize their shopping experience, while the more the app is used to make purchases, the more accurate it becomes at recommending the perfect pieces to complement a user’s style.

Bezzu has also created a social community and network within the app, where users can find and share style inspiration, personal wish lists and product reviews with their community through their profile.

Many other features are coming soon to the App, including the Bezzu Affiliate Network - an internal jobs market for the retail industry, which aims to connect retailers with content creators, social media experts, ecommerce photographers, models and more.

To download the app, visit Play Store for Android or Apple Store for iOS. To sign up to become a featured retailer, see www.bezzu.com
