EMMA LANGFORD, the Limerick alt-folk singer-songwriter, has released her debut album, Quiet Giant, and will perform songs from it at the Róisín Dubh next week.

The show, which takes place in the Dominick Street venue's upstairs bar on Friday February 16 at 8pm, is a double headliner with folk/blues/soul singer-songwriter Sara Ryan.

Langford has been called “a breath of fresh air" by Phil Coulter; "a songwriter of great depth and personal soul searching and a voice to match", by RTÉ Lyric FM. She is also the winner of Pure M magazine's Best Solo Female Artist 2017 award, and was listed as a Hot Press 'one-to-watch' in 2016. Inspired by Joni Mitchell, Eva Cassidy, and Joan Baez, her music and vocal style also mixes jazz as well as folk.

Sara Ryan won notice via her 2017 debut single, 'Belle', which won Best Newcomer and Best New Single with the Sin E Radio Show on Dublin City FM. That year, she also won Artist of the Year at the Irish Folk Music Awards. She is recording her third single and will release her debut EP in the coming weeks.

Admission is €10. Special guest is Aodán Coyne. See www.emmalangfordmusic.com
