The Clinic of Complementary and Natural Medicine was established by Dr Bhatti in 1989.
Dr Bhatti is a qualified medical doctor and a naturopath. He has a diploma in child health from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Ireland. He has acquired other post graduate qualifications such as naturopathy, natural hormone balance, professional certificate of therapeutic use of mindfulness, CBT practitioner certificate, treating male and female anti aging the natural way, anger management and natural hormone balance.
He has worked for many years in Galway’s main hospitals at UCHG, Merlin Park, Portiuncula hospital Ballinasloe, and St Brigid’s hospital Ballinasloe where he was second in charge of the alcoholism and addiction unit for nearly three years.
Over the years Dr Bhatti has been involved in research and studies within hospitals and NUI Galway. He also keeps up with new research and continuous professional development. Dr Bhatti has a special interest in the link between the physical and emotional aspect of the human body such as stress, anxiety, depression, and food related addiction. Recent research confirms how chronic stress, financial and day to day pressures can devastate the physical side of your body which can lead to many avoidable conditions.
In the past Dr Bhatti has given talks to gatherings of medics, nurses, companies, organizations, and the general public on complementary therapies, lifestyle medicine, and the prevention of stress related illnesses and other topics.
At the Clinic of Holistic Health and Natural Medicine, Dr Bhatti specialises in weight loss the natural way and in the treatment of painful conditions such as arthritis, back, neck, shoulder, and hip pain. He also treats migraine, stress, and anxiety by combining natural therapies such as needle-free medical acupuncture, nutritional healing, mindful nutrition, and mindful eating which is a novel approach giving excellent results. Some of the conditions it can help with are pain, inflammation, neuralgia, early menopause, PMS, bloating, IBS, and other digestive disorders, frequent colds, chronic fatigue, low immunity, sinusitis, hormonal imbalance, fluctuating weight, type 2 diabetes, auto immune disorders, stress, anxiety, depression, and other related disorders.
Natural gut health and microbiome restoration is the hallmark of the clinic. Dr Bhatti has been practising gut health restoration for more than 25 years with excellent results. He gave his first public talk in 1989 on candida and gut health and has been treating dysbiosis with nutritional healing, medical acupuncture, probiotics and other complementary therapies. He says; "Restoration of gut health and microbiome can help endurance and healing of mental and physical injuries and he believes that this treatment is going to be a major part of the medicine of the future. I have always asked my patients to keep in touch with their doctors before they start any therapies, regime, or diets and never to stop any of their medications without consulting their GP, specialist, and other therapist such physiotherapist, psychotherapist, and counsellors."
As opposed to the traditional approach in medicine, Dr Bhatti focuses on trying to make the whole body healthy instead of trying to treat individual symptoms. Some of the many illnesses that can be helped at this clinic include acne, allergies, arthritis, asthma, back and neck pain, blushing, digestive problems, fungal infections, irritable bowel, menstrual problems, prostate problems, sciatica, sports injuries, sports performance, skin problems, ulcers, and many chronic conditions such as candida, chronic fatigue, ME, and pre and post menopausal conditions including stress and anxiety related illnesses and rosacea.
Some of the other therapies used in the clinic include medical needle-free acupuncture, medical laser acupuncture, nutritional therapy, herbals, complex homeopathy, medical kinesiology therapy, no needle mesotherapy, mindfulness and CBT techniques, medical tissue and trigger point therapy. Veinwave is used to treat thread veins, red veins, and spider veins.
