MATTHEW E WHITE, an inspired purveyor of modern blue eyed, Southern soul, will next month, make what will be his third appearance at the Róisín Dubh, for a show billed as "an intimate evening".
White is taking a break from working on his new album to perform a short tour of Ireland and Britain, to share and try out some of works in progress. The singer-songwriter has said Ireland and Britain are "so close to my heart" that such a tour "seemed the only logical place to give such an intimate and open performance" revealing some of his songwriting process.
White, from Richmond, Virginia, will also perform songs from his previous solo albums Big Inner (2012 ) and Fresh Blood (2015 ). Earlier this year he released an album of duets with Flo Morrissey, Gentlewoman, Ruby Man.
Matthew E White plays the Róisín Dubh on Friday November 3 at 8pm. Tickets are available at www.roisindubh.net, the Ticket Desk at OMG Zhivago, Shop Street, and The Róisín Dubh.
