Interskalactic - new EP and Monroe's gig

INTERSKALACTIC, hailed as “the future of ska in Ireland” by The Late Late Show's Ryan Tubridy, have released their new, eponymously titled EP, and play Monroe's Live this week.

The EP features six tracks, five are original band compositions, while their current tour includes a show at Monroe's Live this Saturday at 8pm.

Interskalactic's sound is based on old-school Jamaican ska, and their live shows feature covers of classic songs by Prince Buster, The Skatalites, and Byron Lee & the Dragonaires, as well as original material, and ska-ified versions of popular hits. The band have played Electric Picnic, Body & Soul, and the Cork Jazz Festival, and opened for Madness in the 3Arena, Dublin, and the Odyssey Arena, Belfast.
