McCambridge’s on Shop Street in Galway City is a name that is synonymous with Galway and great food in the west. One of Galway’s busiest deli counters is making life that little bit easier for customers with the launching of their new app. The McCambridge’s App allows customers to pre-order and pay for their soup and or sandwiches and then simply pop in store to collect. It also offers an extensive range of accompaniments such as drinks and fruit etc.
“Each day, McCambridge’s will make up to 500 sandwiches so we were looking to make the lunch hour as stress free and easy for our customers. The pre-ordering and payment facilities in the app means people are wasting little or no time queuing on their lunch breaks and have more time to enjoy their food and get to relax a bit before they head into an afternoon of work” explained Maggie Murphy Assistant General Manager.
Opening their doors in 1925 as a ‘high class grocery, provision, wine and spirit establishment’ the grocery has evolved into a Food Hall, Restaurant (Upstairs at McCambridge’s ) and also home to some of the best Irish whiskey, Scottish malts, brandy, liqueur, rum, gin and vodka.
Today McCambridge’s is a leading light in Galway’s culinary scene, the grocer has been transformed into a Food Hall that is home to local Artisan Foods, Specialty Coffee and Organic Fruit & Veg along with hand-picked boutique wines.
The McCambridge’s App is downloadable from the App Store now. For more information call in store, call 091- 562259 or log onto www.mccambridges.com.
