Moonfish invited to develop work at The Abbey

Company will have residency in the national theatre from April 24 to 29

GALWAY THEATRE company Moonfish Theatre will be one of six companies which have been invited to develop work in the Abbey as part of the national theatre's new work-in-progress programme.

The company will have a week-long residency in the Abbey, from April 24 to 29, finishing with a work-in-progress showing of its new show Redemption Falls. "We're thrilled and very honored by this invitation from the new directors of the Abbey," said co-director Máiréad Ní Chróinín. "It is very exciting to be one of the first young companies invited to develop work there. We're also delighted because it shows the new directors' interest in making the Abbey a National Theatre for the whole country, and bringing in new artists from outside of Dublin."
