GRETB Training Centre now offering instrumentation and welding courses

The GRETB Training Centre, Mervue Business Park, Galway, is running two excellent courses in welding (arc and oxy-acetylene ) and instrumentation upskilling.

The instrumentation upskilling course is a 10 week full time day course, which is open to crafts people (electrical, engineering, fitting ), or people with relevant third level education. The aim of the course is to give learners the basic competencies needed to improve their employability in the area of installation and maintenance of process control equipment. On successful completion of the instrumentation upskilling course trainees will receive City & Guilds certification in working with instrumentation and control systems.

The welding (arc and oxy-acetylene ) course is a nine week full-time day course that aims to upskill trainees to the first level of flat and horizontal welding. The course provides participants with the skills, knowledge, and competence to use manual metal arc welding and oxy-acetylene equipment effectively and safely.

The course also offers job seekers the opportunity to update their curriculum vitae and to practice and review their interview and job seeking skills as well as achieve manual handling and Safe Pass certification. On completion of the course trainees will receive certification in oxy-acetylene and MMA fillet weld.
