Over The Edge Poetry Book Showcase

Leading Galway poets to read at Charlie Byrne's Bookshop

LEADING GALWAY poets like Gerry Hanberry, Alvy Carragher, Miceál Kearney, Pete Mullineaux, and Marie Cadden will read at the 2017 Over The Edge Poetry Book Showcase, which takes place next week.

Other poets reading include Breda Joyce, Mary Lee, Luke Morgan, Susan Millar DuMars, Kevin Higgins, James O’Toole, Liz Quirke, Nicki Griffin, Sighle Meehan, Mary Madec, and Ger Reidy. There will also be readings from the anthologies Even The Daybreak –35 Years of Salmon Poetry (Salmon ), The Poet’s Quest For God (Eyewear Publishing ), Fermata – Writings Inspired By Music (Artisan House ), and Poems For Jeremy Corbyn (Shoestring Press ).

The showcase will be held in Charlie Byrne’s Bookshop on Friday February 10 at 6.30pm, and will feature Galway-based poets who published a new collection of poems during 2016. Admission is free and all are welcome.
