The strange the terrifying world of Hieronymus Bosch

Explore Bosch's works at The Eye Cinema

CREATOR OF some of the most bizarre and terrifying images ever put to canvas, Hieronymus Bosch stands as one of the most singular of all European artists, whose work profoundly influenced surrealism and continues to fascinate today.

Galway audiences will be able to explore the Dutchman's extraordinary work when The Curious World of Hieronymus Bosch is shown at The Eye Cinema, this evening, at 6.30pm, as part of its Exhibition on Screen programme.

The film will examine the artist's life and work; why his strange and fantastical paintings still resonate; how he bridges the Mediaeval and Renaissance worlds; and look at where did his unconventional and timeless creations come from.
