Begin your career in the beauty industry with the International School of Make-up Artistry

The International School of Make-up Artistry is currently taking enrolments for its full time and part time courses. For those who currently hold an ITEC qualification, the teacher training part time course may be of interest.

This ITEC lecturing course leads to an international qualification and you will be eligible to tutor in an ITEC registered college on successful completion. For those who would like to qualify to become a professional make-up artist, you can choose between part time and full time options. These courses cover all areas of beauty make-up, from beginners to advanced levels, including day, evening, bridal, airbrushing, fashion make-up, and all the latest trend looks. Students also have the opportunity to complete a professional photoshoot as part of their training.

The School of Make-up Artistry spans over 25 years and its trainers are highly experienced, with many years' experience working within the industry, on all the international fashion shows such as Paris, Milan, and London fashion weeks. They have also worked on high fashion magazines, in TV and film, and are eager to share their knowledge and enthusiasm with the students.

Seventy five per cent of the course is practical based, and is suitable for adults of all ages. Diploma students receive a MAC make-up kit, valued over €300, compliments of the school, when they begin the diploma course, and also have the opportunity to become MAC Pro student members, receiving a discount with MAC and a variety of cosmetic companies.

The school has placed more than 90 per cent of its graduates in secure positions, in Ireland and abroad, and they now are enjoying careers as professional make-up artists, with some graduates now working for leading cosmetic houses such as MAC, Estee Lauder, Bobbi Brown, Lancome, Laura Mercier, in Brown Thomas stores and leading pharmacies throughout Ireland. Others are working as freelance make-up artists, specialising in bridal, special occasion and fashion make-up, while others are enjoying a career in TV, film, and theatre.
