Best Chef Best Bar award for The Cellar

The Cellar Bar on Eglinton Street in Galway has received the Best Chef Best Bar 2016 plaque, which is voted by the general public and presented by www.restaurantsireland.ie

Jason Beatty from RestaurantsIreland.ie said: "It is with great pleasure that we can confirm that The Cellar Bar has received the 2016 Best Chef Best Bar plaque in recognition of their well prepared meals and great service. We have received many nominations from the general public for bars, restaurants, and hotels around Ireland and are looking for those establishments who go that extra mile to ensure your visit is a one to remember, so well done to the management and all the staff at The Cellar Bar."

The Cellar has made some new additions in recent times including extending the food service to 9.30pm every night (with 10am opening ) which has proven immensely popular among tourists and locals alike. Also, The Cellar launched a new speciality drinks menu at the start of the summer which includes a great range of cocktails, whiskeys, gins, wines, and craft beers. Every Friday, The Cellar has a cocktail special with all cocktails on its new menu priced at just €5, great for ‘after work’ drinks.

Late night entertainment in The Cellar has now been extended to run from Thursday to Sunday with live music each night from 10pm. Another new addition is the Underground Comedy Club which runs every Wednesday from 9pm in The Cellar basement venue with admission just €5 and it includes a free drink and finger food.
