Brendan Grace to play Salthill in August

Win tickets to funnyman's Salthill show

IRELAND'S favourite funnyman, Brendan Grace, makes a welcome return to Galway, when he performs his Summer Cabaret Show at the Salthill Hotel on Thursday August 11 at 8pm.

Over the years, Brendan Grace has created many memorable characters, such as the sanctimonious priest who knows more than he's telling: "Blessed is he who gets married in the nick of time"; the father of the bride speaking at his daughters wedding: "She could have married someone with money. She could have married someone who was working. She could have married someone who wasn't working...but was willing to work.''

Brendan's material owes more to traditional stand-up than to modern alternative humour and his show is very much a family show. The special guests will be singer-songwriter Marc Roberts and Nicola McGuire, and Keith McDonald with Showband Nostalgia. There will be a 'meet and greet' with Brendan after the show.

Tickets are €25 from the hotel reception (091 - 522711 ); OMG@Zhivago, Shop Street' and Ticketmaster.ie
