Irish and New York music at the Fringe

Murray & Falkenau, Emily Mure, and Ryan Langlois

A GERMAN, a Galwegian, and two New Yorkers will gather together to play Irish and American traditional music at a gig which is part of the Galway Fringe Festival 2016.

The Irish music duo of Murray & Falkenau, along with Emily Mure, and Ryan Langlois, play De Burgo's, St Augustine Street, this Sunday at 9pm. Emily is a New York native and is currently touring to promote her 'Wedding Song' single. She lived for a time in Galway, experiences she chronicled on hre debut album, Where I Began.

Ryan, who also resides in the Big Apple, had a stint with Galway legends No Banjo; performed with acclaimed singer-songwriter Niall Connolly; and has a current project, The Third Wheel Band.

Ivan J Murray and Anna Falkenau recently played Germany’s Rudolstadt Folk Festival, one of the world's major folk fests. Expect lively fiddle tunes, rootsy original songs, and general musical awesomeness!

Doors are at 9pm. Admission is €5.
