Leading addiction and mental health trainer, The Learning Curve Institute (LCI ), will deliver QQI level 5 community addiction studies and QQI level 6 mental health awareness courses in Galway this April.
The Component Certificate in Addiction Studies would appeal to those considering a career in addiction treatment services or community development, or those already employed in the field, who may wish to gain further insight and receive accreditation from QQI (formerly FETAC ). It could also be of benefit to anyone affected by addiction in their personal lives.
This 10-week evening course is delivered using a blended learning approach with eight classroom sessions complemented by online discussion forums, beginning on Wednesday April 20.
As concern over mental health issues increases, the QQI Level 6 course in Mental Health Awareness covers the reality of mental illness, treatment approaches, and recovery options. This course will interest people who are pursuing a career in a caring profession or those employed in the area. This course starts on April 16 and runs for four Saturdays.
