Galway food and craft fair features 50 local producers

Fifty local producers join forces for the annual unmissable free Local Food, Craft and Gift Fair at the Black Box on Saturday and Sunday, November 14 and 15.This event is a fun, full day out for all the family. It’s also a mecca for foodies, a one-stop-shop for Christmas gift ideas and a showcase for some of the best local craftspeople.

Food is an important part of the day with artisan foods available to taste and buy all day long. Food producers include American Village Apothecary, Bowl-a-Granola, Boxty Van, Builin Blasta, Cais Gabhair Arann, Curry and Spice, The Dough Bros, The Friendly Farmer, Green Earth Organics, Kinvara Smoked Salmon, Lizzy’s Homemade Jams and Chutneys, Pangur Ban, Slow Food Galway, Tribal Foods,

Also plenty for those with a sweet tooth including Bake, Bliss Bites Bakery, The Cake Studio and Loughrea Honey.

A special addition is the Food Academy stand which includes a number of new Galway food start-ups. You can be a taster and help to choose the Supervalu products of the future. Wash samples down with tea, coffee, craft beers from Galway Hooker and Wild Bat, plus wine from Cases Wine Warehouse. Live music will also be played at various times over the two days.

Craft makers and gift ideas for the upcoming Christmas season including Ambrose and Brid O’Halloran, Beleaf, Burren Flower Fairies, Boladh Milis Candles, Crea Forge, Cloonmore Pottery, Des Burke, The Dolly Tub, Finbar 247, Fluffy Sheep Quilting, Galway School of Boatbuilding, Glassix, Katy G’s Handcrafts, Kinvara Skincare, Lorraine Fletcher Arts Studio, Lyndsay De Burca, Maysonbrook (formally Friends and Family Trees ), Ocean Moon Designs, The Owl Tree, Peppermint Jewellery, Pippablue, PWC Laser Products, Sliding Rock Contemporary Ceramics, The Soap Room, Sheenagh Love, Steve Atwell Ironwork, Thomas Taaffe, Turnstone Pottery and Woodbows by Paul.
