The Album Leaf for Strange Brew

Listen to stream of new track 'New Soul'

THE ALBUM LEAF, the indie/electronica/acoustic act, centered around San Diego-born, Los Angeles based songwriter Jimmy LaValle, play Strange Brew at the Róisín Dubh next week.

Inspired by electronic, ambient, traditional Latin, and seventies pysch-rock, LaValle released his debut album as The Album Leaf in 1999 with An Orchestrated Rise to Fall, following with Tiger Style in 2001. This led to LaValle opening shows for Sigur Ros, and he recorded 2004's In A Safe Place with the Icelandic band.

The Album Leaf have played the Hollywood Bowl, Red Rocks Amphitheater, ATP’s I’ll Be Your Mirror Festival, Primavera, and Japan's Metamorphose Festival. Since 2010, LaValle has scored five documentaries and films, and released the A Chorus of Storytellers album. The follow-up, Between Waves, is due next year. In the meantime fans can check out new track 'New Soul' on Bandcamp.

The show is on Thursday November 19 at 9pm where LaValle will be joined by a full band. Tickets are available at www.roisindubh.net, the Ticket Desk at OMG Zhivago, Shop Street, and The Róisín Dubh.
