Brides are doing it for themselves at Marian’s

Marian’s of Boyle and Galway —established in 1954, the Marian year — is an Irish owned family business with a gilt-edged reputation and a tradition of excellence.

Marian’s is a destination store, with expertise in bridal and special occasion dressing, a must-visit store for mother of the bride, guests, trousseau, and formal and casual wear.

Every recent survey tells us that couples are opting for a more DIY approach to their wedding celebrations, and enjoying it more than they could ever have believed.

Marian’s Galway is adding another dimension to the DIY approach this weekend — all discerning brides are heading to Marian’s Galway, where they will view or model the new 2009/2010 bridal collections!

The two-day event promises to be exciting and fun. Marian’s will have real brides modelling the gowns, from size 6 right through the sizes to 18 plus. Professional models will also be on hand to give support and encouragement. “Our brides have told us they love to see gowns on real brides,” says Marie Becker, manager of Marian’s Galway. “This promises to be a truly novel event. Each bride can invite one trusted guest along. After the shows brides will try on and buy the dress of their choice and get fantastic discounts. We did this last year and everyone loved it.”

Excitement and novelty are in the air. Brides can view the Marian’s 2009 collections from leading international designers Pronovias, Ronald Joyce, Ellis, Forever Yours, Special Day, D Designs, Rembo, and now for the first time in Ireland, and exclusive to Marian’s, three fabulous Australian designers, Roz la Kelin, Ninety3, and Glamour Plus.
