The NUIG Law Society has invited the Director of Public Prosecutions Claire Loftus, to give a talk at the college today Thursday October 15. Ms Loftus is a significant figure in the law community of Ireland and the visit will be a momentous occasion for the students of NUI Galway.
Ms Loftus is arriving at NUI Galway at 5.30pm on Thursday before her talk at 6 o'clock which will last for an hour. She will speak about the work she does, and there will be a question and answer session after the talk which will take place in the Engineering Building off the Newcastle Road.
A wine and cheese reception is being held until 8 o'clock where students will have the opportunity to meet Ms Loftus. Members of the public are welcome to attend this free event.
