Four Galway youngsters shortlisted as part of competition to find Ireland’s newest double act

Two Galway acts have made it through to the final of a competition set up for tweens and teen presenters to showcase their presenting skills with a pal, for a chance to win a once in a lifetime prize.

Tuckatoos, the new savoury Irish snack brand, took to the roads this summer with ‘Tuckatoos Studio’ in the search for Ireland’s next double act. Twelve acts made the final shortlist, with the overall winning act receiving a trip to London to see the world’s biggest boyband One Direction.

The Galway acts included in the shortlist are Brian and Stephanie Olayiwola, and Ciara Maguire and Jessica Madden.

Award-winning actor and producer, Aonghus Óg McAnally, helped to select the shortlisted acts, and said he was very impressed by the standard of the competitors. “I had some incredibly difficult decisions in selecting just 12 acts. It’s fantastic to see children showing such confidence and talent at such a young age and I’m sure there will be a career in the performing arts for many.’’

To vote for either of the Galway acts, visit the Tuckatoos Facebook page, www.facebook.com/tuckatoos. Voting continues until Sunday August 23.
