Works starts on new Clydagh Bridge

Construction work on the new bridge at Clydagh, part of the €3.5 million N59 Road upgrade in Moycullen, is not likely to lead to traffic restrictions near the bridge for the initial bridge building phase.

The work is expected to take up to two months to complete. Works on the bridge were delayed in order to comply with demands from the fisheries authorities. Fine Gael Galway West TD Seán Kyne has asked the Galway County Council and NRA engineers to plan for Race Week traffic and ensure "there are no road lane closures during this very busy period in the village".
