A Golden Ticket, giving admission to all 68 shows at this year's Galway International Arts Festival, was launched this week to coincide with the opening of the festival box office.

The Golden Ticket is worth more than €1,100, and includes admission to nine theatre shows, 37 music performances, 15 First Thought Talks, three comedy shows, and four 'backstage talks'. The competition to win the Golden Ticket runs until Sunday June 21. To enter, purchase a ticket to a GIAF show, from the box office in the Tourist Office, on Forster Street. The winner will be drawn and notified on Monday June 22.

Tickets to GIAF shows are available through www.giaf.ie, 091 - 566577, and through the festival box office, which is open Mondays to Saturdays from 10am to 5pm.
