Pádraic Reaney’s Crazy Jane at Coole Park

TO MARK the 150th anniversary of the birth of WB Yeats, artists Pádraic Reaney is hosting an exhibition of some of his graphic work based on Yeats’s Crazy Jane poems.

The exhibition takes place in the Coole Park restaurant from tomorrow until Friday May 8. The work will be block prints and drypoint using CD discs as printing plates. Pádraic has been working on the Crazy Jane poems by Yeats on and off since the late 1980s. Pádraic is also having a major exhibition of Crazy Jane painting and graphics in the Sole Art Gallery, Dublin opening on June 5. For more information on this show contact [email protected].

Pádraic was born in An Cheathrú Rua and now lives in Moycullen. His work is held in collections such as the Modern Irish Art Collection; Dublin Writers Museum; Irish Embassy, London; as well as in the USA, Italy, Japan.
