Cycling for Down Syndrome

Galwegians are being urged to sign up for the Western Lakes and Atlantic Challenge and help raise funds for Voices for Down Syndrome Galway.

A number of cycles will take place on Sunday April 26, including a family 3.5km tour of Salthill, a 25km leisure cycle, and the more challenging 100km and 144km Western Lakes & Atlantic Challenge.

Salthill Knocknacarra GAA club and Galway Bay Cycling Club have joined forces to provide the day of cycling, and interested cyclists can sign up online at www.wlac.ie for a small entry fee.

The entry fee will go directly to the charity, and raising further sponsorship is not mandatory for participants.

Voices for Down Syndrome Galway is the speech and language therapy branch of the Galway Branch of Down Syndrome Ireland. Now in its 10th year, the project was established in 2005 by a group of parents.

Log on to www.wlac.ie to register for the cycle.
