Galway City Council signs contract with local development company

Galway City Council and Galway City Local Community Development Committee (LCDC ) recently signed a contract with Galway City Partnership appointing them as programme implementers for the new Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme (SICAP ).

This was the final stage in a Public Procurement Process which resulted in Galway City Partnership being selected to deliver this programme within the City.

This initiative is funded directly by the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government and its implementation will be overseen by the Local Community Development Committee (LCDC ).

This new SICAP programme commenced this week and will focus on a number of issues within the city, including unemployment and support for social inclusion initiatives.
