McCambridge’s was crowned Best Food Retailer Off Licence of the Year at the National Off Licence of the Year Awards 2015 at the Honourable Society of Kings Inns, Dublin, recently.

The awards, which included 40 finalists, saw McCambridge’s awarded an Excellence certificate and beat stiff competition from Dublin favourites Fallon & Byrne and Donnybrook Fair. All 40 finalists were awarded certificates of ‘Standard’, ‘Merit’, or ‘Excellence’ based on their performance. Other award recipients on the night included Blackrock Cellar, Number 21, Cork, and The Wine Centre, Kilkenny.

Judging for the awards began in June 2014, which was the beginning of a tough but rewarding journey for all of this year’s winners. The process culminated in a blind wine tasting which involved participants answering questions about the unidentified wines. Final awards were allocated following this process.

McCambridge’s has won several restaurant, retailer, and off-licence awards over the past number of years, including Best Off-Licence in Connacht and Ulster for 2014.
