Galway Executive Skillnet serves up full menu of training and mentoring

Galway’s premier subsidised training company, Galway Executive Skillnet (GES ), promises a fine 2009 for Galway companies with a full menu of training courses and mentoring programmes to grow businesses.

All training courses are subsidised by a minimum of 60 per cent, guaranteeing more ‘bang for your buck’ than ever before. Courses are open to both self-employed and organisational employees within companies of up to 250 employees.

Membership to GES brings a range of bonuses that include relevant, company-tailored training, as specified by members, guaranteed to meet individual company needs.

Upcoming training sessions include: teambuilding, business blogging, safety at work, occupational first aid, primary food hygiene, english for foreign-nationals, and a variety of computer programme courses. English for foreign nationals’ provides 12 evening classes over six weeks, and is a cost-effective, valuable opportunity for all foreign-nationals to get their business English levels up to speed and compete in the marketplace.

Interactive exercises on how to understand and motivate teams are scheduled for the one-day Teambuilding workshop, led by Mike Conlisk on February 17. The practical workshop on business blogging will be led by Damien Mulley of Irish Blog Awards, who promises to have all participants publishing their own businesses’ blogs by the end of the half-day session on February 24. Blogging is a valuable way to publicise one’s business activities, and is not dependent on having a website.
