The Certain Three Tour @ Kelly’s

TWO AMERICAN musicians and a Cork singer-songwriter play Kelly’s Bar on February 26 as part of The Certain Three tour, which supports emerging artists.

Rolling Stone has described Kentucky’s Joan Shelley’s voice as having a “Sandy Denny timbre and a clarity of tone like Miles Davis’ horn circa Kind Of Blue.” She recently released the album Electric Ursa through the No Quarter label. Pitchfork said it “shakes with the same bucolic reverie of Nick Drake and Vashti Bunyan”.

Cork’s John Blek has been called “the Rebel County’s answer to Ryan Adams and his Cardinals” by Hotpress. His most recent album, John Blek’s Cutting Room Floor is an intimate collection of alt-folk songs. Pennsylvania’s Vikesh Kapoor’s songs have been described by The Observer as poignant and universal” tales of “blue-collar life”. His album The Ballad Of Willy Robbins chronicles the story of a working class man who slowly loses everything.
