Citroen's expanded range is award winning

In 2014 Citroen and DS sold 2,259 new cars and LCVs in Ireland, delivering a sales increase of 18.6 per cent on 2013, in part due to its growing range of award-winning products.

Passenger car sales for the two brands increased by 9.6 per cent, with a significant contribution from the highly successful newly-launched C4 Picasso range.

The year saw the launch of the Grand C4 Picasso, new C1 and C4 Cactus, which Citroen says represent a new positioning for the brand. With an even greater emphasis on eye-catching design, greater comfort and more useful technology, as well as excellence in terms of the customer ownership experience, more retail customers have been attracted to the brand’s showrooms, with retail sales up 52.6 per cent to 786 registrations.

Citroen Motors Ireland boasts that the combination of growing sales in 2014 and a multiple award-winning product range reflects the rising desirability and appeal of Citroen and DS models, which in turn helps to deliver increasingly competitive residual values across both ranges.

2015 looks promising as the new Citroen C4 Cactus only went on sale in September 2014 and is already topping the orders. That means 2015 will be the first full year of sales for the striking new model – which was recently voted BBC Top Gear Magazine’s Hatchback of the Year.
