Leisureland to reopen this weekend after closure

Leisureland’s facilities, which were badly damaged by flooding are set to reopen on December 13 after the public facility received extensive refurbishment to the gym and pool and changing areas.

Leisureland’s Manager, Paddy Martyn said they were devastated by the extent of the flood damage but are delighted to be again opening the doors and welcoming all their customers, schools and swimming clubs back after what has been a challenging year.

“Our customers have been so supportive and understanding throughout which is hugely appreciated. The new facilities are modern and fresh, making Leisureland once again one of the top leisure facilities in the country.”

Cllr Donal Lyons, Chairperson of Leisureland’s Board of Directors welcomed the reopening of the facility, saying it has been really missed by the community and that he is very happy to see it reopening.

In addition to the refurbishment, flood defence work was also carried out to ensure the floods which extensively damaged the facility are avoided in future.

To herald the reopening of the new facilities, Leisureland have introduced a number of special offers for both the pool and gym to suit all ages and pockets with annual gym membership available from €299. For December, Adults can swim for just €4 and children for €3. Leisureland are also taking bookings now for January for their adult and children’s swimming lessons with a wide selection of slots available for each.
